The Color Purple

COLOR is a very noticeable attribute to the world around us. It as well as scent draws and attracts us to others. It is a well-known fact that color can affect our mood and/or thought process. Some colors can be relaxing, while others can have a stimulating effect. Many persons and cultures are identifiable by the colors they wear. Purple has long been associated with Royalty as well as Natures Natural Beauty. The “Ossetra Line” has been developed from bountiful natural harvesting in our northern (pristine) climate.

OSSETRA WONDROUS EARTH’S SIGNATURE COLOR

Ossetra Wondrous Earth’s signature color is inspired by two theories: first, “the hypothesis that early earth was purple”. Some Scientists claim that the earliest life on Earth might have been just as purple as it is green today. Ancient microbes called “retinal” may have used a molecule other than chlorophyll to harness the Sun's rays, one that gave the organisms a violet hue. Secondly; the unending swirls of color within our northern lights also showcases violet in its spectacular display of color. The Aurora Borealis or northern lights are one of the most spectacular natural displays on the planet. Like the purple earth hypothesis, theories about Aurora have been debated for centuries and are believed to occur as the sun’s rays are scattered off ice crystals in the high atmosphere. Near the North and South poles, the earth's magnetic field deflects the solar wind from the equator to the poles. Here the magnetic field dips towards the Earth's surface, channeling the charged particles into the atmosphere.

MAJESTIC

The lights appear in many forms, from patches or scattered clouds of light to streamers, arcs, rippling curtains or shooting rays that light up the sky with an eerie glow. In the day time, the sun can also penetrate the ice and be reflected off inner surfaces giving a whole variety of effects and colors from white through a range of vivid blues and reds also causing a secondary color of violet. It is quite magical standing next to a majestic iceberg especially when the sun is shining and there is glistening off the ice. Many who have viewed this have found the experience quite majestic and memorable. The word “Majestic”, in its literal meaning represents the color purple which means regal or royal. or splendorous.
